(As this is only a new feature, please do not rely on this method to find a sub - “noone replied to my comment on the webpage” isn’t a valid reason for not finding a sub)

Tips for finding a patrol sub:

• Be organised and ask early unless it is an emergency.

• Look for someone who has similar qualifications / role to you. A bronze holder asking an IRB driver or patrol captain to do a sub is unlikely to have much success as they are unable to be “paid back”.

• Offer to do a swap with someone rather than just asking someone to fill in for you - eg. Can I do your patrol on Sunday morning for you if you do my Saturday afternoon patrol.

• Help others out when you are asked to do a swap.
