Soldiers Beach Surf Club has an obvious connection to the ANZAC Day and participates in the April 25th marches every year at the Toukley RSL on the NSW Central Coast.
In 2015, to mark the most significant ANZAC event to take place in our lifetime, that is 100 years since the World War 1 landing of the ANZACs (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) on 25 April 1915 at ANZAC Cove, The Gallipoli 100 journey to mark these commemorations began for the Soldiers Beach surf boat team on the 23rd & 24th of April 2015.
After more than 3 years of planning, fundraising and training, they made their way to Gallipoli for the experience of a lifetime and to join the ANZAC centenary surf-boat race and celebrations. 15 of our club members represented our Local Community, Club and Country as part of this historic 100 year ANZAC anniversary.
