If you are planning on visiting Soldiers Beach on a weekend or public holiday patrol hours throughout the 2007/2008 season, our qualified and experienced lifeguards will do their utmost to ensure your safety both in and out of the surf.
Over the season, the Active Members of Soldiers Beach SLSC are on duty at the following times:
- 9:00am to 6:00pm 22nd December to 27th January
- 9:00am to 5:00pm 2nd February to 27th April
Each patrol consists of a highly-trained Patrol Captain and a team of Patrol Members. After a freak set of waves caused a flash rip, nine people were dragged close to the rocks at northern end of the beach. Four members of the patrol entered the water with tubes and boards while three others stayed on the beach to co-ordinate the rescue.
