2026 AGM Notice

Dear Members
In reference to the Clubs Constitution (2004) Part V – General Meetings, Clause 18, Notice is hereby given via the website and the Letter of Invitation attached to the right, that you are cordially invited to attend the Annual General Meeting ‘AGM” of the Soldiers Beach Surf Life Saving Club Inc. Agenda attached.
When: Sunday 2nd August 2026
Where: Soldiers Beach Surf Club.
Time: 10.00 am start
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS have been sent out as per clause 29.1 of the constitution, Nominations for executive candidates on the committee are now being called for prior to the Annual General Meeting.
All Apologies & Nominations for Committee positions are due in writing by 5.00pm 25th July 2026.

A List of Officers to be elected, Nomination and Proxy Forms can be downloaded from the attachments with this letter.
All financial members of 2025/2026 will be entitled to a copy of the Annual Report containing information for the year ended 30/04/2026 when made available and released by the auditors. If you wish to receive a copy please contact the club via email: admin@soldiersbeachsurfclub.com.au.
All members are reminded that you must be a current financial member (season 2026/2027), as per constitution, to be eligible to vote or to nominate at the 2026/2027 Annual General Meeting. All memberships must be approved by the Executive, and as such are to be paid 7 days prior to the AGM, being 5pm, 25th July 2026. The Committee will hold a special meeting to approve all those memberships received by the due date to enable maximum participation in the AGM.

“The preferred interpretation is that a member must be financial at the time of the AGM, NOT just for the relevant year which the AGM is concluding. The reason for this is that an AGM not only looks retrospectively at the previous year’s finances but also at the future year, for example, board election.”
